Test Notes:

Two playthroughs, one exclusively in Docked Mode.
Used the Switch 1 Pro Controller with motion controls disabled. The controls are excellent, and the gameplay feels smooth and responsive.
No bugs or graphical issues occurred during gameplay. The cartridge build version is excellent and runs very stable.
No issues occurred while leveling up, upgrading weapons, or upgrading the base cutter/storage.
Creating weapon mods and gimmicks worked
Experienced one minor micro-stutter during the Spiralite Gem Search – Tygoru Island – Raid Level 8. At the time, there was a lot of action and many effects happening on screen. When replaying the level, the stutter did not occur again. This was the only performance issue encountered during the entire playthrough.
Local Wireless Multiplayer could not be tested.
There is no split-screen multiplayer available.
The game can be made to crash in hand held mode by moving your whole hand on the interactive loading screen.
Amiibo support is on card.

Content Completed:

Story Mode completed on Normal difficulty – the Bad Ending has been seen, and the Good Ending has been completed
All missions on the map completed, except for the post-credit content.
Standard levels can be played on three difficulty tiers. All levels were completed on Tier 1, with several also completed on Tier 2. (Only Tier 1 is required to progress through the story.)
All boss levels completed with all three tanks: Speed Tank, Technical Tank, and Power Tank.
All compasses collected, and all unlocked challenges completed.
All scrolls collected.
All unlockable costumes that could be earned were unlocked.
Big Man's Robo Friendship was leveled up to the maximum level.
Post-credit content unlocked. (Not played, as it would require significant level grinding.)
Total playtime: approximately 20–25 hours, including the main story and additional extras.
Everything that could be unlocked has been unlocked.

Splatoon Raiders introduces a raid-based structure centered on exploring the Spirhalite Islands. Players venture into dangerous regions, battle hostile forces, and extract valuable resources before returning to base. Each raid emphasizes movement, positioning, and ink-based combat rather than competitive matches.

Single-Player–Focused Experience
The game is designed primarily as a solo adventure with a strong narrative backbone. Progression, exploration, and upgrades are built around individual play, allowing players to advance at their own pace without relying on competitive multiplayer systems.

Ink-Based Combat Against Salmonids
Combat retains the series’ signature ink mechanics while shifting focus to PvE encounters. Players face waves of Salmonids using ink-splattering weapons that combine area control, mobility, and tactical pressure rather than player-versus-player reflex combat.

Deep Cut Companion Support
Frye, Shiver, and Big Man play active roles throughout the adventure. One member of Deep Cut can accompany the player during raids using a powerful mechanical bot, providing offensive support and reinforcing the game’s cooperative narrative tone even during solo play.

Gadget Crafting and Equipment Upgrades
Resources collected during raids are used to craft mechanical gadgets, improve weapons, and enhance survivability. This system encourages strategic decision-making between expeditions, rewarding efficient exploration and thoughtful loadout customization.

Character and Loadout Customization
Players can personalize their mechanic’s appearance and combat setup. Weapon choices, gadgets, and upgrades can be tailored to different playstyles, supporting experimentation and long-term progression throughout the campaign.

Optional Cooperative Raids
While the core campaign is single-player–focused, select raid activities allow additional players to join. These cooperative elements are optional and designed to complement the solo structure without replacing it as the primary way to experience the game.
