Our Story

From a satellite shop in San Gwann to a video game store for new and pre-owned games, consoles and trade-ins.

How we got here

    2000s

    Where it started

    In September 2000, Flutisat opened its doors in Malta. For almost twenty years, it was a satellite shop: dishes, receivers, the equipment that brought television into homes across the island. Families came to us, and they came back.

  2. Our first gaming section
    2019

    A refit, and the first games

    In 2019 we refitted the shop and tried something new: a few shelves of sealed games and accessories, next to the satellite gear. We had no idea where it would lead.

  3. The first pre-owned wall
    Soon after

    Then came the trade-ins

    Customers started asking whether we had pre-owned games, and whether we'd take theirs. So we did. Within months a whole wall had filled up with second-hand games, and they found new homes faster than we ever expected.

    GameStore.mt

    Gaming grew slowly and steadily, the honest way. We gave it its own small website, GameStore.mt. It was only meant to be a side project. It ended up becoming the heart of everything we do.

    2025

    Flutisat becomes GameStore

    In 2025 we made it official. The sign came down, the shop front turned orange, and Flutisat became GameStore.

    Out to the conventions

    With the new name on our banners, we started packing crates of games and taking them to gaming conventions around Malta, to meet the players who had never walked past our door.

  7. 2026

    Where we are now

    Today our shelves hold over two thousand games, new and pre-owned, for consoles old and new.

    Look closely and you'll still find the Flutisat name on the shelves. We left it there on purpose, as a nod to where we came from.

More than twenty-five years later, the name on the sign has changed, but what matters to us hasn't: knowing our customers, giving a fair price, and making sure every game that leaves our shop works the way it should. Every pre-owned game on our shelves has a past: someone played it, loved it, and passed it on. We just help it find its next player.

New and pre-owned. New games come sealed from official distributors. Every pre-owned game and console is tested before sale, with its condition graded on the listing (see our Pre-owned Condition Guide).

Buy, sell and trade. Sell or trade in your games and consoles at the shop, or pre-order upcoming releases online or in store.
