Onimusha: Way of the Sword delivers a long-awaited revival of Capcom’s samurai action series.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword is a dark fantasy action-adventure game set in Edo-era Kyoto, where players take control of legendary samurai Miyamoto Musashi as he battles demonic Genma using supernatural Oni powers.

The story follows Musashi’s journey after acquiring the mystical Oni Gauntlet, granting him the ability to absorb souls and fight monstrous enemies plaguing the city. As he struggles between his human ideals and demonic power, players explore iconic locations, face powerful foes like Shuten Doji, and uncover the mysteries behind the Genma invasion.

Built using Capcom’s RE Engine and designed around timing-based swordplay, the game emphasizes precise combat, strategic counters, and cinematic duels, delivering a modern evolution of the classic Onimusha formula.
